Job summary

Sodexo at Penn State Health – Milton S. Hershey Medical Center seeks a Lead Retail Excellence to guide retail operations, coach teams, and enhance customer experience. You will drive performance, manage priorities, and deploy resources to achieve excellent service in a healthcare retail setting.

About the job

This role puts you at the center of retail operations, where your ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and drive customer satisfaction will be key to success. You’ll play a hands‑on role in shaping both team performance and customer experience.

Accountable for managing people, setting direction and deploying resources; typically is responsible for performance evaluation, pay reviews and hire/fire decisions. Results are primarily achieved through the work of others and typically depend on the manager's ability to influence and negotiate with parts of the organization. Progression within Career Band reflects acquisition of broad technical expertise, business and industry knowledge, and process and people leadership capabilities. Accountable for business, functional or operational areas, processes or programs, which may include dotted‑line or matrixed management.

Pay Range: $48875 per year - $63250 per year

What you’ll bring

Retail leadership or supervisory experience, strong organizational and multitasking skills, employee development, HR-related skills, and Microsoft Office proficiency. Retail or coffeehouse experience preferred.

• A sharp eye for detail and a passion for delivering consistent, customer‑first service

• Solid experience managing cash handling processes and POS systems with accuracy and accountability

• Strong time management skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and adapt in a fast- paced environment

• A track record of coaching and developing high‑performing teams to achieve operational excellence

• Creative thinking and a willingness to try new ideas to enhance merchandising, marketing, or customer engagement
