Responsibilities
  • Assures customers are receiving world‑class customer service and attention in the fitting rooms.
  • Answers all incoming calls in a friendly, professional and pleasant disposition.
  • Is knowledgeable and courteous while assisting customers and transferring calls to appropriate associates or areas for further assistance.
  • Assists in general office duties that include mail service, sorting and opening mail to deliver to appropriate individuals/departments, and assisting other office positions as needed.
  • Creates daily pocket schedules and makes signs for all shops.
  • Assists in various projects for members of the Leadership team as needed.
  • Develops product knowledge and partners with sales associates to help achieve daily selling goals.
  • Focuses on fashion trends.
  • Checks customers in and out of rooms, while monitoring amount of merchandise the customer has in the fitting room.
  • Prepares merchandise (buttons, zips, etc.) to return to the selling floor.
  • Is knowledgeable to answer questions converting location, price and use of merchandise.
  • Contributes to a work environment that fosters pride in being part of a winning team and promotes personal growth.
  • Demonstrates strong organization, attention to detail, ability to multi‑task and problem‑solving skills.
  • Is professional in appearance and attitude, contributes to a positive team atmosphere and treats others with respect and consideration while following Scheels' policies and procedures.
  • Uses excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Can complete basic mathematical equations.
  • Promotes the Scheels Visa Rewards card and can clearly explain all benefits.

Education & Experience

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a high school diploma, or general education degree (GED); 1‑3 months of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements / Lifting Requirements

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk and hear with or without reasonable accommodation. Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Scheels cares about the health and safety of our Associates; they are expected to follow all safety procedures and perform their job duties in a manner that minimizes the risk of injury.

Wage

Starting wage is $14 /Hour.

Schedule

Must be flexible to work the assigned schedule between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., Sunday. Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays; must be available for a minimum of two weekends a month. Average hours per week is 20.
