SUMMARY: This position is primarily responsible for sales and assisting the department manager or store manager by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
ACCOUNTABILITY: Is accountable for following all the prescribed rules and regulations regarding procedures as dictated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (BATFE). Is also responsible for keeping the costs of goods low and the margins high, in terms of buying and retailing of merchandise. The quality control of the merchandising, tagging of flyer items, and making sure the items that they have in stock are out on the sales floor.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises 15-40 employees in the assigned Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
