Job summary

Join Cafaro as Maintenance Superintendent to lead the facility's maintenance department, ensuring safe, reliable operations across buildings and grounds. You will guide the team, oversee contractors, and uphold Cafaro's standards for housekeeping, repairs, and compliance, with a focus on continuous improvement and tenant satisfaction.

You will hire, train, schedule, and supervise staff, manage outdoor spaces and systems (HVAC, plumbing, lighting), and coordinate with vendors to deliver

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of construction and maintenance activities.
• Proven leadership and management skills with team building and staff development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for tenants, vendors, and employees.
• Proficient in computer skills, including spreadsheets and word processing.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks to deadlines.
• Experience writing reports and business correspondence.
• Ability to follow complex instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Valid driver’s license with travel between locations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality housekeeping, maintenance, and repair practices are followed for the property.
• Oversee daily operations, including all phases of maintenance for common areas and manage external contractors to ensure compliance with company standards and maintenance agreements.
• Identify maintenance needs for common areas, solicit and review contractor bids.
• Hire, train, schedule, supervise, and discipline maintenance staff.
• Maintain roadways, parking areas, curbs, sidewalks, doors, furniture, restrooms, landscaping, floors, lighting, HVAC, stormwater management systems, and roof systems.
