Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking a Store Associate at TJ Maxx in New Hartford, NY to deliver a highly satisfied customer experience while maintaining a clean, organized store floor.

You will engage with customers, process purchases, support merchandising and loss prevention standards, and adapt to a dynamic retail environment with a flexible schedule. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are provided.

Responsibilities

• Role models established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.

• Accurately rings customer purchases/returns and counts change back to customer according to established procedures.
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintains and upholds merchandising philosophy and follows procedures and standards.
• Processes and prepares merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures.
• Initiates and participates in store recovery as needed.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and store.
• Provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adheres to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Supports shrink reduction goals and safety programs.
• Participates in safety awareness and maintains a safe environment.
