Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Maintenance Service Professional to perform preventive maintenance and light repairs on equipment across assigned store locations within a 20-mile radius of Lansing, MI. The role drives a company vehicle and requires a valid driver’s license and EPA 608 certification eligibility.

You'll document work via the company platform, manage parts inventory, and communicate with store partners to ensure outstanding service.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Willing to obtain EPA 608 certification and handle refrigerant removal for recycling.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Moderate proficiency with tablets, smartphones, and laptops.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and light repairs on equipment in big box retailers and other facilities.
• Document all work using the company technology platform; manage parts inventory and expense reports.
• Communicate with store partners about needs, parts, and services; provide excellent customer service.
• Travel between stores within a radius of residence; some overnight stays may be required.
• Adhere to safety rules, use proper vehicle inspections, and complete required training.
