Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Maintenance Service Professional to perform minor equipment repair and preventive maintenance for big-box retailers and facilities within a reasonable radius of the candidate’s home. The role may include general facilities maintenance and refrigerant removal for recycling in some markets.

The position involves on-site work at customer locations, driving a company vehicle, and travel with occasional overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and legally allowed to work in the United States.
• Willing to obtain EPA 608 certification and conduct refrigerant removal for recycling.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record; able to pass MVR review.

Responsibilities

• Document all work performed on equipment using the company platform; track labor and parts.
• Maintain parts inventory, file expense reports, and replenish stock in the vehicle.
• Perform preventive maintenance and light repairs; travel between store locations as needed; some overnight stays.
