Job summary

BP Americas, Inc. is hiring a Retail Supply Trader to manage profitability analyses of the Trading Commercial & Industrial retail electricity load portfolio. You will identify opportunities, work with affiliate units, and deploy data-driven solutions using fundamental analysis, analytics, and market acumen.

You’ll collaborate with marketing, risk, and legal teams, maintain client relationships, and execute hedging strategies while ensuring compliance with risk limits and regulatory policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in math, statistics, IT, quantitative finance or engineering.
• Mid level experience in retail analytics, trading or portfolio optimization.
• Strong Excel skills and programming basics (VBA/SQL); Python preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain transactable prices and market information for retail products.
• Provide market access, price discovery and transaction execution for BP clients.
• Support portfolio optimization and hedging for BP’s retail customers.
• Develop portfolio management strategy and identify structured opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with risk limits and regulatory policies.
