Job summary

MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is hiring a Retail Donation Attendant for the Carbondale Store - Mainteam. The role is full-time and hourly, with a starting rate of $15.50 per hour and a monthly bonus potential up to $250.

The successful candidate will assist donors, process donations, maintain store cleanliness, and provide excellent customer service while upholding company policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Effective communication with coworkers, customers, and management.
• Must be organized and capable of interacting with a diverse work population.
• Basic math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive customer service interactions, including greetings, assisting donors with their donation drop off, and offering thanks and any donation incentive and tax receipt.
• Handle all donations with care and respect.
• Sort donated and purchased goods into categories: sales floor, seasonal, online sales, outlet, and trash according to guidelines.
• Notify management of hazardous, valuable, or inappropriate merchandise.
• Maintain high quality and quantity standards while working quickly and steadily.
• Stock, straighten, rotate, and maintain cleanliness of the store area.
• Uphold store cleanliness standards by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and shining surfaces.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with team members and leadership; work cross-functionally to improve communication.
• Follow safe work practices and keep aisles clear and hazard-free.
• Maintain professional appearance per dress code.
• Safeguard assets from harm, damage, or theft and report incidents.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Monthly Bonus Up to $250.00
