Ashley Furniture is seeking a Home Delivery Driver at our Mesquite, TX location. The role operates Tuesday through Saturday from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm, offering $19–$23 per hour.

The driver will deliver products to customer locations while prioritizing safety, efficiency, and exceptional service. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, inspection, and maintaining professional conduct for customers and coworkers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Good driving record with at least 3 years experience.
• No CDL required for this role.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• DOT physical examination may be required.
• At least 1 year of driving experience.
• Driving certification class including a road evaluation test.

Responsibilities

• Handle products safely.
• Inspect products for damages and perform touch-ups as needed.
• Store products in designated areas safely.
• Prepare and load customer delivery trucks.
• Unload and place products in customers' homes.
• Follow store policies and procedures.
• Remove packaging materials from locations.
• Communicate customer concerns to Warehouse Support and to Customer Service.
• May complete shipping/receiving paperwork and DOT paperwork.
• Maintain a clean, organized warehouse area and professional image.
• Assist with vehicle inspection, maintenance, and fueling.
• Complete other assignments and special projects as requested.

Summary

The Home Delivery Driver plays a crucial role in delivering products to designated locations. To excel in this position, the driver needs to prioritize efficiency, effectiveness, and safety throughout the delivery process. Additionally, the driver should consistently provide exceptional customer service by demonstrating quality workmanship and clear, professional communication. By adhering to these standards, the Home Delivery Driver can ensure a positive experience for both the customer and the company.

Opening is Tuesday-Saturday 5am-1:30 pm. $19-$23 per hour

This section describes the primary /essential responsibilities that this job performs.

• Handle products safely.
• Conduct physical inspection of product to identify damages goods, perform touch- up and repair as needed on product.
• Place products in designated storage areas safely.
• Prepare and load customer delivery trucks.
• Unload and safely place products in customer home.
• Understand and comply with all store policies and procedures.
• Remove all the packaging materials from the location.
• Communicationand documentscustomerconcerns toWarehouse Support.
• Communicates credit, damage and essential information to the Customer Service Department.
• May be required to complete shipping/ receiving paperwork
• May be required to complete Department of Transportation paperwork.
• Maintains a clean and organized warehouse area.

• Assist driver as needed with vehicle inspection, routine maintenance and fueling of vehicle at approved locations.

Job Qualifications

Education:

• High School, Diploma or equivalent

Experience:

• Good Driving record - 3 years
• NO CDL needed
• Must be 21 years of age
• Department of Transportation physical examination
• 1 year driving experience
• Driving certification class, including a road evaluation test
