Job summary

Ashley Furniture Industries, LLC is seeking a Home Delivery Driver in Mesquite, TX to deliver products to customers with safety and quality service. You will handle items, load and unload at customer locations, and communicate clearly with customers and support teams.

The role requires attention to detail, a clean driving record, and compliance with DOT physicals. You’ll work a schedule Tue–Sat and must be 21+ with a valid license, supporting a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Clean driving record; 3+ years driving.
• No CDL required; must be 21+.
• DOT physical examination required.
• 1 year driving experience; road evaluation test.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Follow store policies and safety rules.
• Effective communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Handle and move products safely within facility and customers' locations.
• Conduct basic product inspection; touch-up or repair as needed.
• Load, transport, and unload products into customers' homes.
• Prepare deliveries and maintain vehicle cleanliness and readiness.
• Communicate customer concerns to Warehouse Support and Customer Service.
• Complete shipping/receiving paperwork as required.

Opening is Tuesday-Saturday 5am-1:30 pm. $20-$24 per hopur

Primary Job Functions

• Handle products safely.
• Conduct physical inspection of product to identify damages goods, perform touch- up and repair as needed on product.
• Place products in designated storage areas safely.
• Prepare and load customer delivery trucks.
• Unload and safely place products in customer home.
• Understand and comply with all store policies and procedures.
• Remove all the packaging materials from the location.
• Communication and documents customer concerns to Warehouse Support.
• Communicates credit, damage and essential information to the Customer Service Department.
• May be required to complete shipping/ receiving paperwork
• May be required to complete Department of Transportation paperwork.
• Maintains a clean and organized warehouse area.
• Maintain a professional image.
• Assist driver as needed with vehicle inspection, routine maintenance and fueling of vehicle at approved locations.
• Completes other assignments and special projects as requested.
• Maintains reliable attendance.

Secondary Job Functions

• Maintain reliable attendance.
• Actively participate in departmental meetings, training and education. Assist with training other employees and providing backup.
• Complete other assignments and special projects as requested.

Job Qualifications

Education:

• High School, Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Good Driving record - 3 years
• NO CDL needed
• Must be 21 years of age
• Department of Transportation physical examination
• 1 year driving experience
• Driving certification class, including a road evaluation test
