2020 Companies is hiring a part-time merchandising Field Service Representative!

The Field Service Representative role involves many responsibilities, focusing on job execution, directive execution, task follow-through, and communication within the shared services leadership. The representative will perform various tasks, including break-fix repairs, display installation, and general merchandising.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Respond and remain responsible for consistent communication with field services management quickly (within 24 hours of contact).
  2. Representatives are responsible for keeping their availability updated and accurate.
  3. Fully complete all assigned jobs on or before scheduled end dates.
  4. Installing and building displays, end caps, and fixturing.
  5. Complete necessary forms/images/surveys associated with each job/assignment before leaving the job site.
  6. Maintaining and updating displays according to planograms/client requests.
  7. Conducting break-fix repairs to ensure displays and fixtures are fully functional.
  8. Participate in early morning installations and installations involving a team of 2+ people and provide solution feedback.
  9. Manage virtual software and ensure successful execution of related tasks and timelines.
  10. Contribute to the team's success by assisting other members as needed.
  11. Adhere to timelines associated with accurate timecard submission, reporting anomalies daily with needed corrections.
  12. Work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  13. Participate and complete training and certification programs.
  14. Accurately track, record, and communicate activity via designated systems/workflows.
  15. Available for weekend assignments as needed.

Scheduling / Planning

Your hours and locations may vary week to week, including occasional weekends; some early morning hours are possible, and/or holidays based on store/client requirements. This role involves executing multiple job functions as agreed upon.

Project Execution

Following all directives as provided, executing fully and completely.

Work closely within the shared services team to ensure goals, identify opportunities for improvement, communicate and drive solutions while ensuring operational efficiencies.

Relationship Development:

  1. Build and maintain strong relationships within the shared services team: local/regional markets, clients, retailers, and other stakeholders.
  2. Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with internal teams, clients, retailers, and field representatives, fostering collaboration and communication.

Leadership & Cross-functional Work:

  1. Demonstrating professionalism, effective communication skills, and strong leadership abilities while representing the company.
  2. Setting a high standard for behavior, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring transparent, respectful communication with all team members.
  3. Work across all aspects of the company and through cross-functional processes to ensure alignment and operational success.

Customer & Client Satisfaction:

  1. Ensure customer and client satisfaction is met / continually improved upon according to established shared service field KPIs as determined by field management.
  2. Be open to provide and receive feedback.

Qualifications:

  1. Must be 18 or older (due to insurance requirements).
  2. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  3. Availability
  4. Flexible availability Monday through Friday.
  5. Weekend and holiday availability as needed.
  6. Early morning and late-night availability as needed.
  7. Maintain a minimum of 20 hours of fieldwork within a rolling 30-day period.

Physical Abilities

  1. Climb a ladder up to 10 feet in height.
  2. Safely lift and carry up to 60lbs.
  3. Able to kneel, walk, crouch, bend over, handle/grasp, and reach overhead.
  4. Ability to adjust to the ever-changing variety of tasks and work environments.

Communication Skills

  1. Effective communication abilities, primarily via phone, text, and email, to coordinate tasks and provide updates.
  2. Use a smartphone for various tasks, such as clocking in and out, taking and uploading photos, downloading applications, and connecting to the internet.
  3. Respond and remain responsible for consistent communication with field services management quickly (typically within 24 hours of contact, but may vary depending on the project/assignment/task/client/location being supported).

Education

  1. A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
  2. Previous retail or merchandising experience is beneficial but not mandatory.

Experience Preferred

  1. Installation and merchandising experience.
  2. Proficiency with hand and power tool usage.
  3. Ability to follow planogram (POG) directives and secondary communication.

Technology

  1. Must own an Android or Apple mobile device to upload photos and data.
  2. Must be able to successfully navigate various communication platforms and applications independently.

Training

  1. Must complete all training assignments and tasks within a designated time frame.
  2. Agents are expected to be able to work collaboratively and autonomously.

Transportation and Travel

  1. Must have reliable transportation.
  2. Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
  3. Willingness and ability to travel up to 90 miles from home per assignment/shift/daily.

Leadership & Communication:

  1. Superior leadership skills and strong professional communication and presentation skills.
  2. Ability to make sound decisions, show good judgment and problem-solve effectively.
  3. Capable of working autonomously with excellent time management and reporting skills.
