Job summary

ActionLink in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Part-Time Retail Merchandiser to service stores across the area. You will install, maintain, and troubleshoot promotional displays while traveling to multiple retailers.

This role offers an $18 per hour base pay with opportunities for higher rates on technical projects; W2 employment with weekly pay, 401(k) options, travel reimbursement, paid training, and PTO. Schedule up to 15 hours per week, Mon-Fri, with more hours if traveling.

Qualifications

• Merchandising experience in retail or 3PL is preferred.
• Ability to follow display diagrams and instructions.
• Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.
• Comfort with travel to multiple stores within territory.

Responsibilities

• Visit major retail stores within assigned territory to complete projects.
• Ensure proper placement, assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting of displays.
• Submit same-day digital surveys with photos after each store visit.
• Report to management as needed and collaborate with team.

• Schedule: up to 15hoursper week, availability required Monday-Friday; 8:00am to 5:00pm. More hours available, if willing to travel.
• Store Visits:Complete projects at major retail stores within an assigned territory

• Clients:Represent global clients such as Microsoft, Samsung, T-Mobile, Dyson, Bose, and Intel
• Additional Opportunities:Potential for more hours if covering larger regions or traveling.
• Reporting:Submit same-day digital surveys with feedback and pictures for each store visit

• Experience:Previous merchandising, 3PL, or relevant retail experience is highly desirable
• Versatility:Handle all levels of merchandising work within assigned territory
• Attention to Detail:Follow complex written instructions and display diagrams
• Independence and Teamwork:Comfortable working independently and collaborating with a small team when needed
• Tech-ready: Internet access, basic hand-held tools, and a Wi-Fi/GPS enabled smart device with latest OS update. Laptop/desktop access is a plus
• Travel Ability:Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle and will be required to use their vehicle to perform the responsibilities of their role
• Physical Ability:Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, climb ladders, and lift products weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance
