Job summary

Dollar General in Minnesota is seeking a Store Associate to act as the point of contact for customers, assist in setting and maintaining plan‑o‑grams and programs, stock merchandise adequately, and support profitability and customer satisfaction.

At the store, you will unload trucks, stock shelves, build displays, assist customers, operate the cash register, and help with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise on shelves.
• Build merchandise displays and rotate stock as needed.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise and answering questions.
• Operate cash register and process payments, bag items.
• Help with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.
• Keep store clean and restock front end, stockroom and restrooms.
