Job description

Join to apply for the Retail-Department Manager Replenishment role at Michaels Stores.

Store - ST. L-BRENTWOOD, MO

Lead and support inventory management and merchandising standards and maintenance. Plan for and provide a well merchandised and in-stock store for the customer to shop. Help customers shop and find what they are looking for. Deliver friendly customer service.

Major Activities
  1. Assist Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with laws and requirements; ensure execution of policies and standards; hold team accountable for store conditions and results.
  2. Manage and support truck processes; lead teams to meet standards; achieve KPIs and support team KPI achievement.
  3. Manage, execute, and support the planogram process (POGs) to standard.
  4. Manage, execute, and support the AD set processes.
  5. Manage and execute shrink and safety programs.
  6. Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD).
  7. Maintain seasonal sets and feature space according to visual merchandising standards.
  8. Assist with interviewing, onboarding, coaching, training of new team members; support talent development and participate in performance management activities.
  9. Interact respectfully with others; promote the organization’s vision and values; serve as a role model.
  10. Acknowledge customers, help locate products, and provide solutions.
  11. Assist with Omni-channel processes.
  12. Cross-train in Custom Framing selling and production.

Preferred Certifications or Skills
  • Retail merchandising and customer service experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for long periods, move throughout the store, perform bending, lifting, reaching, and stretching.
  • Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves using ladders or similar equipment.

Work Environment
  • Public retail store environment; climate-controlled areas; some outdoor work; work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
