Job summary

The Matlen Silver Group, Inc. is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Data Analyst to join the Retail & Store Operations team in Cincinnati, onsite. The role focuses on supporting data analytics across inventory, supply chain, in-stock, labor, and expenses.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of hands-on SQL, BI visualization, and data manipulation experience, preferably in retail or CPG. You will develop dashboards and collaborate with IT to translate requirements into actionable insights.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of hands-on SQL and data querying experience.
• 2–4 years of experience with BI/data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
• 2–4 years of experience with data manipulation and scripting to support analytics workflows.
• Experience in retail, CPG, consumer goods, supply chain, or operations analytics.
• Understanding of common retail and supply chain metrics and business processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, analyze, and structure data for reporting.
• Create and maintain structured datasets and tables to support analytics.
• Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
• Manipulate and analyze data to identify trends and insights.
• Support analytics related to inventory, supply chain, and labor costs.
• Partner with business teams to translate requirements into data solutions.
• Assist with analytics for RFID, robotics pilots, or other initiatives.
• Help stakeholders understand data and drive decisions.
• Work in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders.
