Job summary

Love's Travel Stops and Country Stores is hiring cashiers to provide fast, friendly, and accurate service at our locations in California. Training is provided; no prior experience is required.

The role involves assisting customers, handling cash, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace including pumps and dining areas. Responsibilities

• General customer service duties: help customers, answer questions about products and services, address customer needs.
• Balance cash register by completing transactions and promoting add-on sales while following state/local laws.
• Use multiple methods and tech to ensure proper food safety for fresh food and deli products.
• Clean direct working area, sales floor, restrooms, showers, pumps, and handle trash runs.
• Cross training in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and potential leadership roles.
• Ability to move and lift 25+ pounds; work in various temperatures.

Job Functions

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, helping customers find items, answering questions about products and services, and addressing customer needs.
• Balancing a cash register by completing customer transactions and offering additional sales opportunities to customerswhile following all state and local laws.
• Use a variety of methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions of our fresh food and deli products.
• Responsibility for cleaning your direct working area, the sales floor, restrooms, showers, gas/diesel pumps, and completing trash runs.
