Job summary

Love's Travel Stops and Country Stores is hiring for cashier roles in our Michigan locations. You will provide fast, friendly, and accurate service to customers, operate the register, and help customers locate items while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.

We value flexibility, teamwork, and the ability to handle varied duties across departments. No prior experience required as training is provided, with opportunities for growth and benefits beginning after a short onboarding period.

Responsibilities

• General customer service duties including helping customers find items and answering questions.
• Balancing a cash register and handling transactions while maximizing sales opportunities.
• Use technology to ensure proper food safety conditions for fresh food and deli products.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area, sales floor, restrooms, showers, pumps, and perform trash runs.
• Cross-train in other departments such as Restaurant Services and Maintenance.

They may perform various duties depending on business needs so flexibility and teamwork skills are important. No experience? No problem. We will teach you!

Job Functions:

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, helping customers find items, answering questions about products and services, and addressing customer needs.
• Balancing a cash register by completing customer transactions and offering additional sales opportunities to customers while following all state and local laws.
• Use a variety of methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions of our fresh food and deli products.
• Responsibility for cleaning your direct working area, the sales floor, restrooms, showers, gas/diesel pumps, and completing trash runs.
• Additional duties could include cross training in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
