Love’s Travel Stops is hiring likely for a cashier role in a fast-paced environment in Illinois. You will perform general customer service duties, balance a cash register, and help customers with product inquiries and sales opportunities.

• Balancing a cash register by completing transactions and upselling in compliance with laws.
• Ensuring proper food safety conditions for fresh food and deli products.

Responsibilities

• General customer service duties including helping customers find items and answering questions about products and services, and addressing customer needs.
• Balancing a cash register by completing customer transactions and offering additional sales opportunities while following laws.
• Use a variety of methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions of our fresh food and deli products.
• Clean your direct working area, sales floor, restrooms, showers, pumps, and manage trash runs.
• Cross-train in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.

Job Functions:

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, helping customers find items, answering questions about products and services, and addressing customer needs.
• Balancing a cash register by completing customer transactions and offering additional sales opportunities to customers while following all state and local laws.
• Use a variety of methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions of our fresh food and deli products.
• Responsibility for cleaning your direct working area, the sales floor, restrooms, showers, gas/diesel pumps, and completing trash runs.
• Additional duties could include cross training in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
