Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is seeking friendly cashiers for a fast-paced environment in Monroe Center, IL. We offer on-the-job training, flexible scheduling, and opportunities to grow within a family-owned company with 60 years of service.

You will handle transactions, assist customers, and help maintain clean, safe premises. This position emphasizes teamwork, customer service excellence, and willingness to learn across departments.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
• Maintain friendly, accurate service and cleanliness in a retail setting.

Responsibilities

• General customer service duties including helping customers find items and answering questions.
• Balance a cash register and process transactions while following all state and local laws.
• Use a variety of methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions for fresh food and deli products.
• Clean the direct working area, sales floor, restrooms, showers, pumps, and trash runs.
• Cross training in departments such as Restaurant Services and Facility Maintenance.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds and work in various temperatures.

Job Functions:

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, helping customers find items, answering questions about products and services, and addressing customer needs.
• Balancing a cash register by completing customer transactions and offering additional sales opportunities to customers while following all state and local laws.
• Use a variety of methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions of our fresh food and deli products.
• Responsibility for cleaning your direct working area, the sales floor, restrooms, showers, gas/diesel pumps, and completing trash runs.
• Additional duties could include cross training in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
