Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is hiring a cashier in Chanute, Kansas. You will provide fast, friendly service, help customers find items, and process transactions with accuracy.

The role includes maintaining clean facilities, upholding food safety standards for fresh foods, and potentially supporting other departments as needed. Training is provided, and there is emphasis on teamwork and flexibility to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• General customer service duties including helping customers find items and answering questions about products and services.
• Balancing a cash register by completing customer transactions and promoting additional sales while following state and local laws.
• Using a variety of methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions of our fresh food and deli products.
• Maintaining cleanliness of your working area, sales floor, restrooms, showers, pumps, and completing trash runs.
• Cross-training in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and potential leadership roles.
• Able to move and lift 25+ pounds and work in various temperatures.

Job Functions:

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, helping customers find items, answering questions about products and services, and addressing customer needs.
• Balancing a cash register by completing customer transactions and offering additional sales opportunities to customers while following all state and local laws.
• Use a variety of methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions of our fresh food and deli products.
• Responsibility for cleaning your direct working area, the sales floor, restrooms, showers, gas/diesel pumps, and completing trash runs.
• Additional duties could include cross training in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
