Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is hiring a part-time Customer Service Associate to help deliver a great shopping experience at our Girard, PA store. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, stock shelves, unload shipments, and maintain a clean, safe store environment.

The role supports teamwork with fellow associates and leaders, requires basic customer service skills, and emphasizes a friendly, professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in customer service in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions on the assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help unloading trucks; stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness of store, bathrooms, floors, trash, and overall presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
