Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Kearney, NE is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a friendly shopping experience. You will assist customers, manage cash transactions, maintain store cleanliness, restock merchandise, and support safety and security of assets.

The role is part-time with opportunities to grow, requires a high school diploma or equivalent and prior customer service in retail or similar settings is preferred. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and associates.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, bathrooms, floors, and common areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
