Job summary

Family Dollar in Houlton, Maine is seeking a Customer Service Associate to help customers with questions, make recommendations, and handle sales at the register. You will contribute to a friendly, safe shopping environment and assist with daily store operations.

Responsibilities include stocking shelves, unloading merchandise, maintaining cleanliness, and providing excellent service. Prior retail or service experience is preferred; strong communication and organizational skills are essential for

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and pulling.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help unload trucks, stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store areas neat and presentable and assist with cleaning duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
