Job summary

Roses Discount Stor in Portsmouth, VA is looking for a Customer Service Associate to greet customers, assist with merchandise, process transactions, and keep the store clean and organized. You will unload trucks, stock shelves, handle cash at the POS, and contribute to a safe, welcoming shopping environment.

Flexible full-time or part-time schedules, including evenings and weekends, are available. No prior experience required, but retail or service exposure is a plus; high school diploma

Qualifications

• Prefer completion of high school or equivalent.
• Experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery or drug store environments preferred.
• Physical ability to regularly lift up to 40lbs (up to 55 lbs occasionally).
• Availability for flexible, full-time or part-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer engagement in a positive and approachable manner.
• Maintains a clean, well-stocked store for customers during shopping.
• Unloads merchandise from delivery trucks, organizes merchandise, and moves stock from stockroom to sales floor.
• Stocks shelves and recovers merchandise in the store.
• Handles customer funds and processes transactions using the POS system.
• Maintains awareness of customer activity to ensure a safe shopping environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned to support store operations.
