Job summary

IKEA Minneapolis is seeking a Retail Customer Service and Returns Associate to join our team in a full-time capacity. You will focus on accurate transactions, answering questions, and guiding customers through purchases with empathy and efficiency.

In this role you will handle returns/exchanges and collect data to improve the shopping experience, while delivering a warm, inclusive service in a fast-paced, multi-channel environment.

Qualifications

  • 1 year sales or customer service experience preferred

  • Creates a positive customer experience by ensuring accurate transactions and/or orders.
  • Meets customers' needs, solves problems independently, and recognizes when to escalate to a manager.
  • Builds loyalty by ensuring a positive customer journey during the IKEA shopping experience.
  • Builds emotional connections through meaningful and empathetic interactions with customers.
  • Provides customers with a simple and efficient handout experience when scheduled in Full Serve Hand Out (FSHO).
  • Provides the customer with a simple and smooth returns and exchange experience, while collecting high quality data for follow-up when scheduled in returns.

What you'll be doing day to day
  • Creates a positive customer experience by ensuring accurate transactions and/or orders. Records information accurately so the resulting analysis can be used to make improvements to customers' future shopping experience.
  • Meets customers' needs, solves problems independently, and recognizes when to escape to a manager.
  • Builds loyalty by ensuring a positive customer journey during the IKEA shopping experience.
  • Builds emotional connections through meaningful and empathetic interactions with customers.
  • Provides customers with a simple and efficient handout experience when scheduled in Full Serve Hand Out (FSHO). Offers and sells services to customers during the handover process when needed.
  • Provides the customer with a simple and smooth returns and exchange experience, while collecting high quality data for follow-up when scheduled in returns.

JOB TYPE: Permanent, Full-Time

HOURS - HL3 (34-40 hrs/wk) Open availability required Monday-Sunday.
SHIFT: Retail Environment, must be able to work nights & weekends.
The hourly pay for this role is $17.58 - $24.83

The starting rate/ salary for this position ranges from 17.58 USD to 24.83 USD and will be based on relevant work experience.
