Job summary

Dollar Tree in La Place, LA is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to help customers, operate the register, stock shelves, and keep the store neat and welcoming.

You will assist customers with questions, process transactions, unload shipments, and maintain safety and courtesy on the floor while supporting teammates.

This role requires a high school diploma preferred, strong communication skills, ability to lift 30–50 lbs, and a positive, team-first attitude.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail or similar environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness, bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation.
