Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate in Vicksburg to assist customers, handle transactions at the register, stock shelves, unload shipments, and keep the store clean and welcoming for shoppers.

You will work in a fast-paced retail environment requiring strong communication, reliability, and a positive attitude. Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred; part-time schedule available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in customer service in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain the cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
