Job summary

Family Dollar in Uniontown, Alabama is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, operate the cash register, and help keep the store clean and stocked.

This part-time role requires a friendly, reliable team player with good communication, POS familiarity, and the ability to lift 30-50 lbs as needed. Prior retail or service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and waste disposal.
• Other duties as assigned.
