Job summary

Family Dollar in Forked River, New Jersey, is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to provide a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, and help stock and unload merchandise.

The role emphasizes friendly, professional interactions, store cleanliness, and adherence to safety standards. Prior retail/customer service experience is preferred and you will join a team focused on customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and team members
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, restocking bathrooms and floors
• Other duties as assigned*
