Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Nicholasville, KY is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide a friendly shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, maintain stock, and keep the store clean and safe.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, prior retail/service experience is preferred, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs and stand for long periods. Training and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain store cleanliness, restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash, and keeping areas neat and presentable.
• Other duties as assigned.
