Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Katy, Texas is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. You will assist customers with questions and recommendations, and manage sales transactions at the register.

The role also involves keeping shelves stocked, receiving merchandise, unloading trucks, and maintaining a clean, safe store environment. Part-time hours are available, with emphasis on strong communication and reliable performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
