Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Louisiana LLC in Chalmette, LA is seeking a Customer Service Associate to help customers, answer questions, and guide purchases while keeping the store neat and well-stocked.

You will manage sales transactions at the register, protect cash, unload merchandise, restock shelves, and maintain a positive, safe environment with friendly interactions.

Part-time, on-site role with equal opportunity employment and opportunities to grow within our retail network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail or related environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and stand for long periods.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable
• Other duties as assigned
