An established industry player is seeking a dedicated individual to manage and maintain a high-quality inventory in their Pro Shop. This role involves overseeing retail merchandise, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring smooth operations. Summary:
Manages and maintains a high quality inventory while keeping it within budget. Establishes and maintains a yearly sales plan for retail merchandise, the sale of soft goods and tracks and performs inventory for all soft goods merchandise. Promotes new merchandise and provides customer service to the members.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervises employees in the Golf department with regards to inventory, merchandise knowledge and manages the Pro Shop in the absence of senior managers. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Makes recommendations as to the hiring and firing of employees.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to communicate well in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of members or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Inventory software; Internet software, Order processing systems, Point of Sale system and Chelsea Tee Time system.
