Job summary

Evergreen Ace Hardware & Paint in Evergreen, CO is seeking friendly team members who enjoy helping customers and their community. No hardware experience required—training is provided, and people with retail or cashier experience are welcome.

This is an in-person, full-time role with a pay range of $16.00–$19.00 per hour. You'll learn products across departments, help customers find solutions, process transactions, and keep the store clean and well-stocked.

Qualifications

• At least 16 years of age.
• Friendly, helpful, and comfortable engaging with customers.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Dependable team player with strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable learning and using point-of-sale systems and other store technology.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous retail, cashier, or hardware experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Welcome customers, understand their needs, and help them find the right products and solutions for their projects.
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable service and create a positive shopping experience.
• Accurately process purchases, returns, and other transactions using our point-of-sale system.
• Learn products and departments throughout the store so you can confidently assist customers.
• Keep the store clean, organized, stocked, and ready for customers.
• Work as part of the team, cross-train in different areas, and pitch in wherever needed.
• Stay active throughout your shift, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, using ladders, and safely lifting or moving merchandise up to 50 pounds.
