Job summary

NewQuest seeks a Construction Project Manager to lead retail development efforts in Central Texas, overseeing design, permitting, and construction for interior build-outs and ground-up projects across multiple TX markets.

The role requires 5+ years of retail construction and estimating experience, with strong skills in budgeting, scheduling, and contract negotiations, plus the ability to coordinate with tenants and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of retail commercial construction and estimating experience.
• Understanding of real estate development process including due diligence, budgeting, scheduling, entitlements, and contract negotiations.
• Ability to read and coordinate construction drawings.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with diverse tenants and departments.

Responsibilities

• Manage design, permitting, and construction of interior build-outs and ground-up retail developments.
• Oversee ongoing tenant-related construction in shopping centers.
• Assist leasing teams with budgeting, scheduling, and lease negotiations for new leases.
• Evaluate bid proposals from general contractors and negotiate on behalf of the company.
• Evaluate and process change orders, pay applications, RFIs, TI allowances, and close-out documents.
• Coordinate construction drawings and ensure clear communication with stakeholders.
