Job Summary

Summary: Obtain or receive merchandise, total bills, accept payment, and make change for customers in retail store.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Stock shelves, counters, and tables with merchandise.
• Set up advertising displays and arrange merchandise to promote sales.
• Stamp, mark, or tag prices on merchandise.
• Obtain merchandise requested by customers or receive merchandise selected by customers.
• Answer customers' questions about location, price, and use of merchandise.
• Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Wrap and bag merchandise.
• Calculate merchandise price and tax to determine final bill.
• Accept payment and make change.
• Record cash in register at end of shift.
• Keep sales records, prepare inventory, and order merchandise.
• Follow sanitation, ServSafe, and safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
