Job summary

Silver Gulch Brewing & Bottling, Co. is seeking a friendly Retail Clerk to greet guests, manage sales at the store, and maintain a clean, well-stocked shop in Fairbanks. The role includes processing payments, handling keg rentals, answering calls, and assisting with events such as Beerfest and Oktoberfest.

You will support inventory and communicate needs to the accounting team, while ensuring excellent customer service and accurate transactions in a dynamic brewery retail environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must possess and maintain a valid TAPS card.
• Cash Handling Experience Preferred.
• Prior retail experience preferred.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be comfortable using computers, printers, and copy machines.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests visiting the store and provide outstanding customer service.
• Handle sales transactions in the POS system and process payments.
• Keep the store neat and clean and monitor inventory; coordinate with accounting for restocking.
• Answer phone calls and take reservations, communicating them to hosts.
• Track keg rentals and returns and assist at events as needed.

Job Description

The Retail Clerk is responsible for greeting guests that visit Silver Gulch's Retail Store and providing them with outstanding customer service. The Retail Clerk will be responsible for completing sales transactions in our POS system, processing payments, keeping the store neat and clean, taking inventory of merchandise and corresponding with the accounting department when merchandise is needed, making sure we have a variety of sizes and colors displayed, answering the telephone, taking reservations by phone and communicating them to the hosts, properly tracking keg rentals and returns, and other tasks as needed. The Retail Clerk may also be asked to assist at events such as Beerfest and Oktoberfest.
