Job summary

Goodwill Industries Of Central Florida Inc is seeking a diligent custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment. You will perform daily cleaning tasks and help ensure health and safety standards are met across all areas.

This role works closely with store staff and reports to the Store Manager. The ideal candidate has custodial experience, pays attention to detail, and can follow schedules with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety practices.
• Ability to follow cleaning schedules and safety protocols.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Empty trash and recycling; ensure proper disposal of waste.
• Clean exterior areas including sidewalks and parking lots.
• Respond promptly to spills to prevent safety hazards.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment as required.
• Coordinate cleaning and maintenance with store staff and managers.
• Identify and address hazards to prevent accidents; participate in safety training sessions.
