The Bon Appetit Management Company at Carthage College in Kenosha, WI seeks a Retail Chef Manager to lead both FOH and BOH operations, drive culinary excellence, and deliver outstanding guest experiences across campus dining. This dual-role requires hands-on cooking leadership and strategic service management to ensure quality, safety, and hospitality standards.

You will mentor culinary and service teams, manage production, merchandising, and guest engagement, and partner with campus

Qualifications

• Experience leading both culinary and customer-facing foodservice operations.
• Strong culinary foundation with daily involvement in food production.
• Proven success managing campus dining, retail dining, or hospitality operations.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to lead, coach, and develop kitchen and service teams.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to hospitality, operational excellence, and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Lead both Front-of-House and Back-of-House operations for the campus dining program.
• Balance leadership presence between kitchen and dining room to ensure excellence.
• Align culinary execution, service standards, hospitality, merchandising, and goals.
• Develop culinary and service teams through coaching and mentorship.
• Ensure safety, sanitation, and brand standards across all operations.
• Partner with campus stakeholders to meet operational and guest experience objectives.
