North 40 Outfitters Great Falls-East is seeking a Full-Time Salaried Assistant Store Manager to help lead our Great Falls team. This leadership role partners directly with the Store Manager to drive sales, develop team members, oversee daily store operations, and deliver an outstanding customer experience.

The ideal candidate is a results-driven retail leader with strong people management, a passion for coaching others, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

North 40 Outfitters is seeking a Full-Time Salaried Assistant Store Manager to help lead our Great Falls team. This leadership role partners directly with the Store Manager to drive sales, develop team members, oversee daily store operations, and deliver an outstanding customer experience.

The ideal candidate is a results-driven retail leader with strong people management skills, a passion for coaching others, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

As anAssistant Store Managerat North 40, you will be responsible for the customer experience and will ensure we exceed expectations. In order to succeed in the position, you will need to be an enthusiastic person who can optimistically handle a challenging and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a sales team of 20+ employees
• Drive sales performance and execute business goals
• Support hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management
• Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing routines
• Manage freight flow, inventory, merchandising, and replenishment
• Ensure store safety, security, and operational compliance
• Deliver exceptional customer service and guest satisfaction
• Partner with the Store Manager to drive results and continuously improve store performance

This full-time position requires the ability to work all scheduled shifts between the business hours of Mon-Sat 7 am to 7 pm, and Sunday 9 am to 5 pm. As this is a managerial position it is not uncommon to work 50+ hours a week. This shift can include working weekends and certain holidays and will require flexibility in scheduling based on business needs.

• Previous retail management or leadership experience required
• Experience leading and developing large teams
• Strong communication, coaching, and decision-making skills
• Proven accountability for team performance and results
• Ability to multitask and lead in a fast-paced retail environment
• Experience with merchandising, inventory management, and sales leadership preferred
• Farm & ranch, outdoor recreation, hardware, or animal health knowledge is a plus
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain required certifications preferred

Starting salary: $50,000+ annually
