Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops in the United States is hiring cashiers for a fast-paced, customer-focused role. You will provide friendly service, handle transactions, and help customers locate items while maintaining clean surroundings and adherence to safety standards.

No prior experience is required as comprehensive training is provided; teamwork and flexibility are valued in this role across potentially different departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience not required; on-the-job training provided.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and courteously.
• Knowledge of food safety best practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with finding items and answering questions.
• Balance a cash register and process transactions.
• Ensure proper food safety of fresh and deli products.
• Clean and maintain the working area, sales floor, and restrooms.
• Cross-train in other departments as needed.

Job Functions

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, helping customers find items, answering questions about products and services, and addressing customer needs.
• Balancing a cash register by completing customer transactions and offering additional sales opportunities to customerswhile following all state and local laws.
• Use a variety of methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions of our fresh food and deli products.
• Responsibility for cleaning your direct working area, the sales floor, restrooms, showers, gas/diesel pumps, and completing trash runs.
• Additional duties could include cross training in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds.Ability to work in various temperatures.
