Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is hiring cashiers to provide fast, friendly service in a busy retail/gas station environment. You’ll help customers find items, ring up purchases, and ensure accurate transactions while upholding cleanliness and safety standards.

No prior experience is required; we’ll train you. This role offers flexible scheduling, opportunities for growth, and benefits after probation, with a welcoming team culture at Love's in North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in finding items and answering questions.
• Balance cash register and process transactions accurately while following laws.
• Promote add-on sales opportunities to customers.
• Maintain proper food safety conditions for fresh foods and deli items.
• Clean and maintain your work area, sales floor, restrooms, pumps, and perform trash duties.
• Cross-train in other departments as needed and support leadership roles.
• Must be able to move and lift 25+ pounds and work in various temperatures.

They may perform various duties depending on business needs so flexibility and teamwork skills are important. No experience? No problem. We will teach you!

Job Functions

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, helping customers find items, answering questions about products and services, and addressing customer needs.
• Balancing a cash register by completing customer transactions and offering additional sales opportunities to customerswhile following all state and local laws.
• Use a variety of methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions of our fresh food and deli products.
• Responsibility for cleaning your direct working area, the sales floor, restrooms, showers, gas/diesel pumps, and completing trash runs.
• Additional duties could include cross training in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds.Ability to work in various temperatures.
