Job summary

Jacksons Food Stores in Reno, NV is seeking enthusiastic, flexible Retail Cashier Floaters to support multiple store locations within a region. As a Cashier Floater you will gain hands-on experience at different stores, meet great people, and enjoy the stability of a role with growth potential.

This position offers starting pay $18.00 to $19.00 per hour, flexible shifts including nights, weekends and holidays, and a strong perks package with tuition reimbursement up to $5,250 per year, employee

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and provide fast, accurate checkout.
• Share promotions or discounts with customers.
• Stock and rotate products on shelves and in coolers.
• Maintain store cleanliness and comply with safety procedures.
• Follow laws regarding sale of restricted items (alcohol, tobacco).
• Assist with fueling and windshield cleaning where needed.
• Reconcile paperwork and daily deposits for Floaters.
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed.

This dynamic, mobile role supports multiple store locations within a designated region, providing critical coverage for staff absences, vacations, or open roles. Duties/Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with a smile and a friendly attitude.
• Provide fast, accurate checkout and share promotions or discounts.
• Stock and rotate products on shelves and in coolers.
• Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the store.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures.
• Follow all laws regarding the sale of restricted items (alcohol, tobacco).
• In Oregon (and where needed), assist with fueling and windshield cleaning.
• Book Floaters: Reconcile paperwork and complete daily deposits.
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Physical Requirements

• While performing the duties of this job, you are frequently required to stand, walk, bend, and twist; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk and listen.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds.
• Work safely in work conditions that include heat, cold, allergen, noise, and fume/chemical/odor from gasoline and cleaning chemicals.
