Job summary

Cub Burnsville South on County Road 42 is seeking a part-time cashier to manage front-end checkout with friendly, efficient service. This role emphasizes prompt processing, accurate handling of cash and coupons, and maintaining positive customer relations.

The cashier will handle varied shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays) and contribute to a clean, organized front end while supporting team members and delivering a great shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Equipment operation (scanner, register, coupon machine, intercom, etc.).
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Memorization, reading, writing and math.
• The position requires on-going customer interaction, providing prompt, courteous and accurate service.
• Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies verbally or in writing.
• Must be able to work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be 16 years of age and older.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and ensure proper service levels and courtesy from all associates.
• Perform product scanning and processing of customer order in an accurate, efficient and prompt manner.
• Ensure properly handling of all forms of tender and coupons.
• Ensure accurate handling of all voids, returns, refunds and exchanges.
• Assist with customer questions or requests.
• Assist with front end maintenance and cleaning.
