Job summary

Jacksons in Sparks, NV seeks a Retail Cashier / Customer Service Associate to greet customers, run fast and accurate checkouts, and keep the store welcoming and stocked. You’ll be part of a fun, energetic team focused on excellent service and everyday savings.

Qualifications

• Retail, cashier, or customer service experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a warm smile and friendly attitude.
• Process fast, accurate, and professional checkout transactions.
• Promote current sales and specials and upsell where appropriate.
• Handle transactions including alcohol and tobacco in compliance with laws.
• Maintain store cleanliness inside and outside, including fuel islands.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays with fresh, organized products.
• Assist in foodservice and coffee areas, including cleaning/restocking.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and labeling procedures.
• Support teammates and complete additional duties as assigned.

Pay: Starting at $16.25 - $17.25 an Hour.

Shift: Day Shift 8:00am - 5:00pm and Evening Shift 2:00pm - Midnight.

Must be 21 years old to work in this role.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Greet every customer with a warm smile and friendly attitude.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for an extended period.
• While performing the duties of this job, frequently required to stand, walk, bend, and twist; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk and listen.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds.
• Work safely in work conditions that include heat, cold, allergen, noise, and fume/chemical/odor from gasoline and cleaning chemicals.
