Job summary

Extramile in Sparks, NV is hiring a Retail Cashier / Customer Service Associate to provide fast, friendly checkout and keep shelves stocked. You will greet customers, promote sales, and help maintain a clean store environment.

The role requires flexibility for a 24/7 operation, including evenings and overnight shifts with a $1/hour differential. Prior retail or cashier experience is a plus, and opportunities for advancement are available.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ to meet legal age requirements for regulated product sales.
• Stores operate 24/7; availability for nights, weekends and holidays is required.
• Retail, cashier or customer service experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong communication and a friendly, helpful attitude are essential.
• Commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences.
• Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independently.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with a warm smile and friendly attitude.
• Deliver a fast, accurate, and professional checkout experience.
• Promote current sales and suggestive selling to enhance customer experience.
• Process transactions accurately and responsibly, including alcohol and tobacco with age verification.
• Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the store, including fuel islands.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays with fresh products.
• Assist in maintaining foodservice and coffee areas, including cleaning and restocking.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and labeling procedures.
• Support team members and complete additional duties as assigned.

Pay: Starting at $16.25 - $17.25 an Hour Plus $1/Hour Overnight Differential*

Shift:

Evenings 2:00pm-Midnight, Overnight 10:00pm - 7:00am.* (overnight shift differential eligibility requires a minimum of 4 hours between 10:00pm and 7:00am)

Must be 21 years old to work in this role.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for an extended period.
• While performing the duties of this job, frequently required to stand, walk, bend, and twist; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk and listen.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds.
• Work safely in work conditions that include heat, cold, allergen, noise, and fume/chemical/odor from gasoline and cleaning chemicals.
