Job summary

Jacksons Food Stores in California is seeking a Retail Cashier. You will greet customers, operate the register, stock shelves, and assist with deliveries while delivering fast, friendly checkout experiences.

The position offers a starting pay range of $17.50–$18.50 per hour, with a tuition reimbursement program up to $5,250 yearly and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401(k) with company match, and opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Ring up sales accurately and follow company policies (alcohol, tobacco).
• Maintain store cleanliness, inside and out.
• Restock shelves, coolers, and displays as needed.
• Assist in cleaning and stocking the food service area.
• Follow food handling, preparation, storage, and sanitation procedures.
• Rotate and properly label inventory.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Maintain store cleanliness, inside and out

• Rotate and properly label inventory
• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, frequently required to stand, walk, bend, and twist; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk and listen.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds.
• Work safely in work conditions that include heat, cold, allergen, noise, and fume/chemical/odor from gasoline and cleaning chemicals.
