Job summary

Jacksons Food Stores is seeking a Retail Cashier / Customer Service Associate in Carson City, NV. You will greet customers, handle fast checkout, stock shelves, and maintain a welcoming store environment. Starting pay is $16.25–$17.25 per hour with a tuition reimbursement program and full-time benefits.

The role requires flexible 24/7 availability, a positive attitude, and strong teamwork. No prior experience is required, but customer service is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ to meet legal age requirements for regulated product sales.
• Flexible availability for a 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous retail, cashier, or customer service experience is a plus, but not required.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, helpful attitude.
• Commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences.
• Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independently.
• Quick thinking, adaptable, and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Promote current sales and upsell to enhance customer experience.
• Process transactions accurately, including alcohol and tobacco with legal age checks.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including fuel islands.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays with fresh products.
• Assist in foodservice and coffee areas, including cleaning.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and labeling procedures.
• Support team members and complete additional duties as assigned.

• Assist in maintaining foodservice and coffee areas, including cleaning and restocking.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and labeling procedures.
• Support team members and complete additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for an extended period.
• While performing the duties of this job, frequently required to stand, walk, bend, and twist; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk and listen.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds.
• Work safely in work conditions that include heat, cold, allergen, noise, and fume/chemical/odor from gasoline and cleaning chemicals.
