Big 5 Sporting Goods is seeking an energetic, sports-minded individual to join our customer service team. The position typically attracts enthusiastic, detail-oriented candidates with strong customer service backgrounds or relevant educational paths. Cashiers are responsible for managing the front counter POS (register) terminal. Additional duties include cash handling, bagging merchandise, greeting customers, answering phones, directing sales associates via PA system, stocking shelves, and maintaining the sales floor. The goal is to ensure a pleasant shopping experience for all customers.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Basic organizational and/or math skills
• Acceptance of E-Verify upon employment
• Ability to lift light to moderate loads, with or without accommodation
• Effective communication and interaction skills
